Top 10 Free Educational Games
This is a 2007 blog article, but I feel it is very relavent today. BTW Educational Games Research is a great blog. I added it to my blogroll. Oh, and Quest Atlantis is number 4.
Whyville is number 9, I will have to see what that one is all about.
Quest Atlantis Blog
I found a great website that talks about Quest Atlantis, one of the virtual worlds that kids can use that is educational and safe.
Zamzar Video Conversions
How do you get videos for use in your classroom from YouTube, if it’s blocked in your building. Easy. Use a website like Zamzar to convert the files. I know this sounds like a commercial for zamzar.com but it works! I am getting ready to do a unit on Shadow Puppets and needed some short video clips to explain to the students what it is and how it has been used in the past. Well You Tube is a great place for these clips. Also there are some great contemporary uses of shadow puppets. I checked Teacher Tube, but couldn’t find anything on it. When we are done with our project I would like to upload a video to Teacher Tube. I have an account but haven’t posted anything yet.
Great SMART Board Art Website
I found an amazing SMART Board website on EduBlogs that has an ART category. That means you can sort by art and see all her posts relating to art. Her name is Anne Marie and she is a teacher. Enjoy!
